Der Zauber des Amethysts / The charm of amethyst

Man findet
sie in der B&B vom Dezember 2011.

The amethyst comes from the quartz family. According to ancient superstition, this gem
protects his wearer from drunkenness, if he has consumed alcohol. Its shades range from
a delicate pink to deep purple. Ever richer and darker the color, the more expensive the
gemstone. Since the 20th century gems are produced with the aid of artificial synthesis.
As seeds is used inferior precious stone dust of the mines. Under
hydrothermal conditions are created gems in the lab. They can´t distinguished from the naturally grown gems with the naked eye. For this romantic pedant I have used an artificial amethyst. His shine and fire has enchanted me. He is no more expensive than a crystal glass cut stone of the same size - but nobler! The pendant was stitched in net technique. The collar I made according to my modified cubic-RAW-ring-tutorial and pulled through a piece of memory wire. The earrings are made of 14 mm rivoli in fuchsia and octagon crystal stones in amethyst. The instruction for the bracelet was wrote by Aryd´ell Hotelling. You find it in the December 2011 issue of B&B.

  2. Liebe Uli,

Bin einfach sprachlos!
    Liebe Gruesse,
    Carl

  3. Oh how beautiful Uli! I wonder though, if the synthetic Amethyst will protect's it's wearer against drunkenness as well as the original stone??? :)) Well there is only one way to find out...

It's a beautiful necklace, fit for a queen. And purple being a royal color, it is just perfect for the queen. The earrings and bracelet are a wonderful way to complete the royal look. Gorgeous work as always Uli:0)

  4. Liebe Uli,
Mein absolutes Kompliment.
